Needed to get out on the water to work out some cobwebs. Took the Hoog to the lighthouse and out to the flats at about 12. After not much inshore fishing in the last 30 years I thought old tech for an old frt would be a logical place to start. Caught pinfish, hook pinfish on jighead under popping cork, cast and wait. First cast, keeper trout. Encouraging.
Confidence building, tied on a topwater like the one JT used when he hired a guide at SGI. Seemed appropriate since I'm fishing his holes. First cast and boom another keeper. Man this is a piece of cake. Paid for being cocky for two hours waiting for more bite and two more keepers.
Back to the ramp at 3 with the cobwebs gone and four fish in the cooler. Thanks to the BBF and members of NFGC for all the help in getting back to the shallows.

Will edit post with picture as soon as I can get the processor to work.

Watching a cork or tossing a topwater is deadly to cobwebs! WTC! :-D

Groupertherpay - 4, Cobwebs - 0. Sounds like a nice final score to me. Thanks for the report.
