A fun day

Tried some new spots we picked out on charts and overheads. We managed one nice red, although it looked like there should have been more there. The trout and spanish were all over the bar, just not much joy on the reds. Moved to another spot and we were catching catfish on jigs and ready to move on. About every 3rd fish was a trout, so we just could not leave. Landed some nice sailcats :( , but we just kept havin to deal with them cause we were still catching other fish too. We got enough for a fish fry and decided to call it a day.

Did see one guy getting towed in by BoatUS. He told us at the ramp that he had just joined last month. Saved a heap of money. He was worried it was something serious by the sound of the motor. If you are a regular here, ya shore had a purty boat. Good luck and I hope it ain't as bad as you thought.

Thanks for the report onefish. How many trout did you end up with? What ramp were you at? Just curious.

We left out of Mashes. We wound up with 4 keepers, but we already had enough fish, so anything close was not getting measured. The trout we kept were in the 18-20 range. One red that fought like an over, measured 25.
