Here is a bit of a follow up to my post about Lake Texoma and an earlier Econfina report . I looked at the calendar today and discovered that I have fished on three consecutive Tuesdays. :o

On Tuesday, November 11th, Wife and I out of Econfina ran into a herd of migrat’n butterflies and I got this shot of 4 or 5 of the critters getting acquainted with my wife.

Then on the following Tuesday, November 18th I was fishing the same general area with my youngest Son

Sir reel, its strange how those butterflies have landed all over your son,s trousers, but not on his T shirt. :o

We were fishing 10 miles out of Weymouth in the English Channel, some years ago.
About 150 exhausted migrating finches landed on the 35ft charter boat.
The Skipper poured fresh water into saucers and placed them around the engine housing and decks.
The little birds gulped down the water without taking any notice of us at all.
After a while, they all flew off towards England.
The Skipper said this event happened almost every day, during the 2-3 week migratory period.
