Hi everyone. New to the site great posts. Been fishing St George and surrounding areas for years but can't seem to find the redfish. I've tried around the old bridge and the oyster bars around little St George. Tried live bait and the usual soft baits (gulp, money minnows, DOA shrimp, jigs). I think I'm just missing the right areas. Any help is appeciated.

JUST GO DOWN TO ECONFINA OR AUCILLA AND WORK THE MOUTHS OF ALL THE LITTLE CREEKS THAT COME INTO THE BAY, WON'T TAKE LONG BEFORE YOU WILL TY ONTO A GOOD UN. JUST KEEP CHUNKING THAT GOLD SPOON AND DRAGGIN IT ACROSS THE OYSTER BARS REAL , REAL, SLOW. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT IS SKEG RIPPIN COUNTRY, I USUALLY JUST POLE ALONG WITH THE ENGINE ALL THE WAY UP. THE LAST TRIP THAT I WENT FOR REDFISH WAS GREAT, WE CAUGHT 32 REDS AND DID NOT HAVE ONE SMALL ENOUGH TO BRING HOME. THEY NEED TO INCREASE THE LENGTH TO 36 INCHES.

Thanks buddy. I'll give that a shot. How about areas around St George? Any suggestions there?

I am far from an expert, don't fish the coast but a few weeks a year; but when I do, it is SGI. LAst week, they were catching reds, down on the west end of teh island in the march around Nick's Hole. Some have luck in Rattlesnake Cove. Once you found the right depth, specks were pretty much.

I am sure others have told you this, but get out and try it. I have never caught reds and specks in teh same area, but that is just me. Good luck
