Outboard cutting out - update

Change the fuel-water separator and the online fuel-line filter...... and the its running fine now. Didnt see any water when I pour out the fuel in the filter but there seemed to be some crud in it. My thinking is that changing the online filter is preventing the crud from making it to the carb. I appreciate everyone for your suggestions. See you on the water.
