HUNG ONE AND FOUGHT HIM FOR 15 20 MIN. BEFORE HE PULLED THE HOOK. JUMPED FOUR , FIVE TIMES PRETTY COOL ANYWAY.

Great job! That had to be an exciting time.

I have seen 2 or 3 over the years, all inshore, at Mashes Sands and out from Piney Island :o it'll make question yer sanity seein them in that close "not that y'all don't question mine all the time anyhow" :smt004 :beer:

Nice job, Mav. Sails are much more shallow-water oriented than marlin. The pelagic species are also capable of swimming great distances and I'm willing to bet many are now heading in the opposite direction of the spreading oil. So be ready. You might have more opportunities at sails before you know it!
