we saw what we thought was a whale shark last weekend out of the light house, a bit east and a couple miles off, but ended up being two eagle rays... with nothing around them.
still unbelievable to see up close!

Yeah, had a whale shark swim by one day while grouper fishing out of Carrabelle. I knew they were harmless gentle giants but, I gotta tell you, seeing one a few yards away is a bit intimidating
(I didn't want to say "scary", but it was).
