I usually have great luck on the Pomps this time of year. Can not remember a trip in the last 5 that I have not caught a couple.
Well this is it!
Had sand fleas in the water unmolested for hours on two occasions.

I did catch enough whiting for dinner last night on Shrimp..... and a mess of cats.
Put on some cut lady fish and caught +20 sand sharks. Nothing over 3 feet.

Had a great time just no love from the pompano.

Did see one 5' plus tarpon jump out side the sand bar- and several schools of macs jumping and chasing bait.

Pomps are all heading south for the petro-chemical free zone. At least you caught some dinner. Ummm, reminds me of whiting in Spain. Baked with a carmelized glaze and washed down with Diamante. :lick:

Say, if someone was looking to make a career change, how would you go about applying for your "cush" job? ;-)

Regarding my Job- Follow me around for a week and you will change your mind!

See the newbie reply to your scallop post.

You deserve a break. I know you put in long hours on nights/weekends.

As for the cush guide biz, try 14-15 hour days during tarpon season. You have to love it, be crazy or both. The latter fits me.
