July 10 - Wak OAR

Rough seas made me cancel the overnight snapper trip so we tried again on Sat. Morning. NOAA got it all wrong as far as the wind and waves were concerned for the last two days. We spend most of saturday battling 3-5's and screaming wind when the forecast was for 1-2's/moderate chop.
Spent the bulk of the time around Wakulla OAR reefs.
Best fish of the day was this 14lb red caught by Brooke
Caught a dozen and a half shorts.
Action was really getting hot when a shark jumped on our chum bag and tore it to shreds.
Rough day made it impossible to spot any bait pods, so we were somewhat lacking in the live bait department.
The kids had fun, so that made it all worthwhile
