For sale. One 1863 Confederate reproduction 36 Cal. Spiller & Burr black powder pistol. This pistol has never been fired. This is a reproduction of one of the most scarce Confederate handguns known. Less than a thousand were built. Made in Macon Georgia between 1863 and 1864.
I have included the catalog advertisment from Dixie Gun Works, the people I bought it from. I paid $232.00 for the pistol, $21.00 for the holster, and $30.00 for the belt and buckle. The buckle is a reproduction of an 1859 Marine Corps belt buckle. All together with taxes it cost me about $300.00. I will sell just the pistol for $130.00 or all together for $150.00. Again, this pistol has never been fired.

Hey, Billy, are you getting out of re-enacting? We still need some competent officers to lead us here in So. Ga. Some of what we have are just plain ridiculous.

No, I'm not getting out of it. This is just one I need to sell so I can buy a new prop for my motor. Being retired is nice, but fixed income has it's faults. You are right about the officers out there now.

I wish the pistol and gear had been for sale around Dec. last year, I bought a .36 cal. New Army revolver with all the gear to go with it. I woulda bought yours then, it is almost like what I have now and I'd saved a few bucks. Aint that how it always seems to werk out? :-?

You can get it at Bass Pro. But you have to pick it up. They won't ship. I'll throw in a 1lb can of powder with the gun. That's a lot of shooting. Don't have any lead for it. Can meet you in Moultrie if you want it.

You don't have to be sorry. If you don't need it , you don't need it. No problem.
