Barhopr says there is a new fly shop in Apalachicola...Apalachicola Outfitters no website...but you can google the directions..might make a run over there this weekend.

Are you talking about the one on the main street? If so, it's the former Robinson Bros./Orvis shop. New name or new owners maybe? Chris and Tommy's mom owned it previously.

Nope, the Orvis store is still there. This is a brand new shop, they took over Miss. Doloris' restaurant location on ave. E.

Seemed like nice folks. Not much on the fly side ( materials/flies etc...) but you can't make any money on that stuff. looked they were just getting started.

I wish 'em well, but I sure don't know how a town like Apalach can support one fly/outfitter shop, let alone two. They must be operating under the magic business plan.

Nice shop....visited alot of the other shops...didn't realize we had such a posh group of oystermen in the area :roll:
