I'll give you $20 for the reel.
You can keep the rod.

What model and condition of the Calcutta?
Unfortunately used Carrot Stix rods are not fetching lots of $$. New rods on the other hand are selling for approximately $100 a copy.

i wouldn't even give you 100$ for a new one again i have broken two of my gold ones in less than two months time.they are not being built to the original specs. as boyd duckett and the rod designer provided them only his were that he was using on the bass tour which caused many warranty claims and he ended up pulling his name from them too because of that.

B buy the reel and throw the rod away. There is a reason those rods went $200+ to less than $100 in a hurry.
Any rod will break but those do the dangest things.
There are an awful lot of more dyrable rods out there for the same money.
