Looks like our fine government will try to ban lead sinkers and bullets/shot shells

There must be tons of the stuff on some of the popular reefs, that can't be good. What should you do, tie a lugnut to your line, bring gravel? Never seen eco-friendly weights around here.

So called "Eco Weights" have been avalible here for a while.
They are steel(on the left) so they are larger than a comparable Lead weight (on the right)

Only place Ive seen them is Sports Authority....
My main thought is how quickly your extra weights will rust...
This is no surprise when you think about the Waterfowl lead shot vs steel shot debates back int he 1980's
