Hi Everyone,

Many thanks to everyone who provided me with information about how to fish the river yesterday.

We put in at the fort at about 1pm and the weather was perfect. We went up to the first big bend above the power plant and caught a couple small trout on live shrimp and grubs on the bottom. After an hour or so we moved further upstream, where the river gets really windy. There we really started reeling them in - spotted seatrout, sand seatrout, and a couple redfish.

We probably caught 60 or 70 fish. Unfortunately, except for a few pretty big sand seatrout, nothing was keepable. We did get a couple 14" spotteds and a 17" redfish.

We stayed as late as we could and made it back to the fort just as the sun was setting over the river. It was a great afternoon.

Thanks for all the help and advice!

-Bill

Is it fair to say that if you want keepers you need to fish south of the fort, but if you want constant action you should fish the power plant?

Unfortunately, due to work and travel I haven't had an opportunity to address the boat issue. I will post the results once I get it figured out.

TK, why doesn't the sponsor logo show up under my name when I post. I've paid my club dues.
