West Bay Red on the Fly!!

Post by KyTrkyHntr »

Kim decided to stay pool side today so I headed to the water......I had to work for this one today as the wind was puffing out of the East pretty good!!! I drifted, poled & trolled over about 8 or so fish before I got everything right on this one. He turned and ate a shrimp pattern... awesome run too! Well worth all that work. The water was clear to slightly stained but the chop made it hard for me to spot fish. Singles every couple hundred yards. Saw something pushing a huge wake and thought it might be a school of Reds, but it was a big ole Black Tip Shark. He turned on the fly, but saw the boat and off he went! Very cool!

Nicely done, Tim.

Flyfishing by yourself is a tough proposition.

Shark on fly might be pretty cool; for a while, I guess, maybe, sometimes, a little, for sure. :smt037
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
