Panama City info

My wife and I are headed to visit my folks in pc for the long weekend. We're staying at bay pt on st Andrews bay. We will trailer a 22 ft pathfinder. We will likely mix it up a little, but will likely fish mostly inshore. Of course, I don't expect any honey holes, but a push in the right direction would be great. I will also consult a map once I can find one for that area. Is st Andrews bay worth fishing? Or should I head to crooked island, west bay, east bay etc. Id love to put my dad on a cobia also, any around? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

East Bay and West Bay both have alot of fish. East Bay seems to have a little clearer water than west bay recently. Last Wednesday I saw a ton of upper slot redfish in crooked island. Just get you a top spot map and go from there.

Thanks for the help, Dubble, well be there this weekend also, not sure where we will fish yet. Looks like east bay or crooked island.

Salty, I meant where are you staying at Bay Point. We will be at the Turtle Grass Villas there. Those are the ones with the docks right south of the marina.

I usually fish East Bay, for me it's been really slow lately unless you want lizard fish, catfish, ladyfish and bluefish.

The trout have been short.. The flounder bite is picking up and I've found them around Shell Island.... I've gotten some good reports of redfish in West Bay around Breakfast Point....I'll be checking it out Tuesday when the boat traffic dies down a little.
ps. Not many cobia around this time of year
Good luck!
