how are you gonna' have live fish in Perry at 4 and do weighin at 3:30 at JBT? I like the idea, just not sure how you're handling logistics.

thats why the nfgfc tournament should be held at keaton that weekend instead of jerrys bait n tackle for the consideration of the people who wants to fish both tournaments. I JUST SAYING

At this time I'm not planning on changing either the date or the location of the November NFGFC tournament. I don't think it's fair to the majority of tournament participants to change the date and / or location because a small number of anglers want to fish both tournaments. Our schedule has been out since last December...I don't think it's appropriate to change our date or where we're fishing out of just because another tournament has popped up along the way. Our tournament schedule has alternated between ramp and JBT tournaments all year and I think the last one should continue with that trend and be a JBT tourney.

There is nothing in the rules prohibiting anybody from fishing both tournaments...guess you'll just have to catch ten fish and have one person take five to our weigh-in and the other to take five to the Cabelas weigh-in. Seems simple enough to me.

I see no reason to change the date either.
Since the JBT venue is not ramp specific,I see no reason not to make it ramp specific out of Keaton.
The fishing is usually on fire at Keaton in November,that would benefit all club members.
So far as dates are concerned, I recall a NFGFC tournament in 2010 that was not held on the first Saturday of the month after a meeting to coincide with a club members intention of fishing a IFA tournament.
That member did not ultimately fish the IFA event anyway.

NFGFC history is the first open trout season(March) tournament has been held from Keaton,except for 2010.
Why not have the last tournament out of Keaton this year and next year have the first and last out of Keaton?
And there is no need to say the 2011 TD can do what they want.
I think half the NFGFC tournament fishing members would do both if the opportunity were there.

Who knows,they might just win a jackplate they could sell for $700.00. I have 4 names of people who would buy one at that price if I had one.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. That being said, I don't agree. As the tournament director you can't always make everybody happy and sometimes you have to make decisions that some don't agree with.

As far as tournament dates, as tournament director, it was kind of important that I be at every tournament. I made the schedule so that I could guarantee that I could be at EVERY tournament to help register and run the weigh-ins. This was not a new practice...I remember the previous tournament director straying from the first Saturday tradition because he had other scheduled plans that he could not change.

Also, the club approved the schedule; your concerns could've been registered then, but weren't. The tournament dates and locations have not changed since they came out last December...the only exception being the tournament in February that was canceled due to weather, re-scheduled and then canceled again.

The July tournament wasn't held on the first Saturday...I didn't hear one complaint about it not being scheduled on the first Saturday.

Again, you're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think the majority of the tournament committee agrees with me. It's BS like this that makes it so dang hard to find officers each year. JUST SAYING

I would really like to fish the cabela's tourney because if JT can do that well in it there ain't no telling what everyone else could do even if there where only four boats in the last one you still did good but I stand with Casey on this one, if you go and change for the one's that want to fish Cabela's then when something comes up and it's conflicting with what I'm doing or anyone else for that matter on the date of the club tourney then I would ask for it to be changed and that ain't gonna happen,,,now lets find out the dates for next year so this want happen

i'd like to do both too but my wife will be all over me cause the preacher has to go to church on sunday .can i give you my schedule next yr. from work so i can get them scheduled on my one weekend off a month so i won't have to use all my vacation next yr.
