Hey guys how do you get to Flint River from Tallahassee?

Also how long do you think it would take to get there?

It's a pretty long river Mojo. :D

The closest to Tallahassee would be somewhere around Bainbridge, or wherever the Flint ends and Lake Seminole starts. It seems like that is about an hours drive plus or minus a little.

Mojo, What are you wanting to fish for? That would better help answer where on the Flint you want to go.

It's about 35 miles from Tally to Bainbridge. The boat basin at Bainbridge is on the Flint. From Bainbridge, it's about 15 miles down to Seminole, and about 2 miles up to where the rocks start.

If that helps answer your question, head north on Monroe Street all the way to Bainbridge. Turn left on the bypass on the south side of Bainbridge. Get off at the Shotwell Street exit. Turn left. You can't miss the park and boat basin.

Mojo, the part I haunt the most is from Warrick Dam below lake Blackshear to the Albany Dam at lake CheeHaw. I mostly fish for Bass, Crappie and Catfish, although I do catch Stripers, Hybrids and Bream this time of year.
It really depends on your target fish and mode of transport. If you have a boat there are a number of places to put in around Albany, Newton, and Bainbridge.
If you don't have a boat, the base of the Dams are a good starting point this time of year also.

I usually go fish with a friend of mine in his canoe, but we wont be fishing
for a couple of weeks because of christmas in all. He has a motor to put
on the canoe but we cant get it to work so hes gunna give it to a friend of
his who fixed them for a living and should have it up and running within 3 weeks maybe. I do have enough money to get a canoe but im saving
for a carolina skiff. I think im going to have to print out 50 pictures of
carolina skiff's to put on my door and wall so I dont spend any money heh.
