Guy Harvey event

Dr. Guy Harvey, the world-renowned artist and marine biologist, will be in Tallahassee later today for several events around town. He'll be at Beall's on Capital Circle NE (between Home Depot and Kevin's) tonight between 6-8 p.m., signing autographs. Special t-shirt sales will benefit the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, which is raising funds to restore the Gulf after the oil spill.

Unfortunately, this conflicts with the redfish workshop, but if you get a chance don't miss the opportunity to meet Guy. He's very intelligent, talented and generous. He has done a ton of charity work for marine conservation over the last 20 years. I've fished with Guy on several occasions and am very proud to call him my friend. He is a true legend in the marine industry.

Awesome to hear that he's in town... too bad I can't make it (stupid politics!)

Any other locals and times he'll be around?

He's talking on the FSU campus tomorrow morning at the King Hall or Auditorium, around 9 a.m. Not sure if that is open to the general public or not. I don't expect they'd turn folks away.
