Pa, saw your comment on the Dalton Special... don't know which, if any, is the exact match to the one you fished but almost 40 used ones are listed for sale on e-bay.

Also found some sites that speak to the history of the lures made under the Dalton name.

HEY BBG, THANKS A BUNCH FOR THE INFORMATION AND THE PLUGS THAT ARE ON SALE ON E-BAY, I COULD ONLY FINE 12 OF THE THE SIVER-FLASH MODELS WHICH I PURCHASED. I ALSO ENJOYED THE HISTORY ON THIS PLUG, IT WAS VERY INTERESTING. I KNOW ONE THING, THESE PLUGS HAVE CAUGHT ME A TON OF TROUT, REDS, AND FRESHWATER BLACK BASS AND IT IS GREAT TO HAVE A SUPPLY BACK IN MY TACKLE BOX. THANKS VERY MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION.

I have several old Daltons that I bought in the 50's... Caught a lot of bass with them and some trout on the flats. Haven't fished em on flats in some time though, I'd hate to lose one.
One old plug that I do use occasionally though is a Creek Chub Darter in red and white. If the grass isn't too bad, its a trout killer. Creek Chub made this one in plastic the last few years they were in business.
Today the grass and wind were tolerable and top water was the ticket. Did well out of St Marks.

Wow PA, I have not heard of or thought of a Dalton Special for quite some time. My father used to swear by them. I used those that he gave me until they were lost or otherwise disappeared. Dad used them on Snook in Ft. Myers. I used them on Bass in Central Florida and Trout in the Indian River.
Thanks for bringing up some good memories.
