New at St George Island

I plan on doing a search of the web site for St George Island to get older comments, however, would like some recent info if available. We have been going out of Econfina the last several years (twice a year, spring and fall) with a group of friends, 3-5 boats most of the time, and they have decided to move our fall trip. I guess they got tired of paying us for the big trout, big red pots. We are meeting there this Wednesday and fishing all day Thursday through Saturday. We have a place on the Gulf side, right on the beach.

Anyway, any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'm not looking for your secret spots, just help in general. We are mainly looking for trout and reds, but the occasional spanish sure is welcome. We will be fishing on an 18' pontoon boat.

Thanks in advance for the help I know I will receive.

Biz

Fish the backside of the island(bay side) 5 feet and less on the spotty bottom grass.

Biz- I have had the most luck with trout and reds on the west side of Sikes Cut. But as JT said anywhere on the bay side with the grass bottom and you should do fine. Good luck on winning.

I knew I could count on help from y'all. I'll figure out how to post pictures of the giants next week.
