I was running from Panacea Harbor to Alligator Point and noticed something breaking in the waves in about 6 feet of water.
At first I thought it was a crab trap float but it was not moving.


This was off lighthouse point- between Bald Point and AGP -in between one of the pilings and shore.


It looks metal and is about 2 feet square. There is more under water and would seriously mess a boat up!

I marked it on my gps and the coordinates are:
N 29° 53.037'
W084° 20.691'

Anyone know what it is? I'm sure its one of JT's Spots

Probably a good spot to catch a flounder or 6 on.

It is right where I left it.

My GPS chart map shows a shipwreck there that may be exposed at low tide.

If there is not one there now there may be one in the near future.

was the tide low?

Yes- Both times i passes it was low tide.

PASTED BY IT SUNDAY,TOLD ME IT IS AN OLD SHRIMP BOAT.

I saw that thing a few weeks ago, it is nasty!
