There really are a ton down there... I hear reports of them from StMarks to Cbell.
They rip into friends trash on AGP, have been in a buddies yard, even had a friend hit one crossing the road coming back to Tallahassee from St George last week.
I'm all for protecting wildlife but there are a lot more of them out there than the state thinks.
Or maybe they are just looking for people

Man, I haven't heard the name Gene Strickland in a long time. I have wondered from time to time what he'd been up to.
And there are way to many bears in the area. Its not uncommon to count more bears then deer along 98 this time of year.

As I understand it, the FEDS have stated that they will cut off all funding for FWC if they move to open Bear for hunting

I saw one on the side of the road near the airport not long ago.
I see signs of trash cans turned over everytime I go down.
My next door neighbor heard a noise and looked out her window last winter> A bear was standing on its back legs staring at her.
