Ochlockonee River 12/28

Wevans and I met up and launched about 8:00 yesterday morning with the intention of harassing a bunch of bass, reds and trout. It seemed neither of us cared what species, or how many. We both needed a day on the water.
Things looked promising when Wevans had one boil up on his Rapala on the second cast. But that was it for about 45 minutes. Then Wevans started catching fish. He boated several nice bass....................and I couldn't buy a bite.
Around 10:00 the bite stopped for Wevans. So, about 11:00 we moved to a different location. It payed off. We fished until about 2:00, and boated several nice bass in the last 3 hours of the day.
Neither of us kept count of the day's catch, as all fish were released to be caught another day. But we both guessed the count to be over 20, all being bass. We really didn't care how many.
It was a very pleasant day on the water with a good fishin partner. Some days it doesn't matter if you catch fish, or not. It was satisfaction enough just to be out there.
Wevans, thanks for a very pleasant day on the water.
