The spark plugs in my motor are those without prungs. I picked up a new set based on the number on the box. Got them home and they have prungs.

Can I use them or should I just go back and get ones without prungs?

Thanks Guys.

So long as the depth is the same, they should work fine

Ty - I am not sure what type of outboard we are talking about here, but be d@mn sure that the prongs on the bottom of the plug don't make it longer than the old ones. If they are too long, they can strike the top of the piston.

Also, I've had terrible luck with mechanics putting Champion spark plugs in my Mercury outboard. Those two don't get along for some reason. Stick with NGK plugs if possible.

I don't know where ya got em, but if you got them at a marine supply store you probably paid too much... You can get the exact same plugs at an auto parts store for about two bucks a plug cheaper....at least for a yamaha
