Seems most of the trout activity on the Gulf is around Keaton Beach. Went there yesterday. Not too many boats around the public launch site. Got out on the flats....there must have been at least 50 boats strung out...all along the shore...or within a mile of shore. Some went southward....we went northward.. First stop among 8-10 boats....nothing. Kept going...past the bird rack into the next group of baots..2-3 trout in some boats...none in others. We stayed with this group most of the day and eventually caught 4 keepers on jigs and top water plugs. A few boats did better than others. We had a good many rejects. The man with a badge was there..on the water...checking everything. Some tickets handed out. :
