Spooky Reds and Hungry Trout in East Bay

Well, after some motor issues and going ahead and doing the annual on it I got back on the water for a few hours this afternoon. Took off a little after noon and made a quick run into East Bay. Started working a flat and found some huge schools of mullet along with singles and pairs of Reds. Reds were acting like they were late for a meeting or something and didn't even acknowledge my offerings....

I hung out with my WANG out and watched those mullet work and a couple of nice schools of trout came by. I caught two decent trout off those two schools. The larger trout seem spooky as well but these guys were pretty aggressive once they spotted it. Caught one on a DOA and this one hit a Aqua Dream Gold Spoon. Nice day to be on the water!

THAT EAST BAY IS GREAT IN THE WINTER. A FRIEND OF MINE,OLD DOG, CATCHES TROUT OVER IN EAST BAY BY THE HUNDREDS, IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR TO GET YOUR LIMIT OF GOOD SIZE TROUT. WE HAVE CAUGHT TROUT OVER THERE ON PADDLE TAIL GRUBS ON RED JIGS, 1/8 OZ. SIZE.
