Our little girl is due mid February and I am NOT carrying a diaper bag!
Anyone have a smaller soft sided tackle bag they are not using?
I'm thinking somethign like this:
I saw a guy using tackle boxes set up at a baby kit.

Dream on, Bman... dream on. Come February life won't revolve around Bman. Nope, going to revolve around that little girl that's on the way my friend. The little lady hollers at you to quickly grab her favorite diaper bag, you'll be doing it faster than your favorite seminole running back. I sport a shiny pink bag almost all the time I've got Grace with me and don't even think about it anymore. For the times, they are a changing...

I like that Bass Pro concept.
Just make sure it has room for two or three cold ones!

Why are you carrying the diaper bag? You've done your part, now sit back and relax.

Bman, BBG is right...if you care about the style of the bag you carry when with your little girl, you're more insecure than most women I know.
LMAO
I get the feeling that you still really have no idea what's about to go down...like, really grasp it.
That's so awesome.

He's suffering from a bad but pleasurable case of sheer blissful ignorance!

Reminds me of my brother when he had hernia repair surgery when we were in our teens. Before they rolled him in he was asking my mom to be sure to bring a game console and a few favorite books so he could enjoy them the instant he came out of the anesthesia. Fast forward to the surgery is complete and we get to see him and he looks like a wrecking ball just hit him. In a weak and feeble voice I remember him whispering to me, "It... feels... like... an... elephant... is... stepping... on... my... guts!".

Bman just has no idea. Sure being a father will be a huge blessing for him as it has been for us, but few months down the road he's going to look back at this thread and realize how much his world's been rocked!

seriously gents, I asked my Dad what kind of baby bag myself or my sister had. He gave me that long stare and asked just what in the cat hell I was talking about?

Bman, before our first son was born my wife brought me a tool box to keep in the truck with all the "necessary" baby items. It was never used. You have no idea the importance of the "baby bag" and how it will go everywhere the child does. There is NO need to complicate things with a bag you think you're going to like. You will find out soon enough my friend

Oh, dont get me wrong...the only thing I know about the "kind" of baby bag we have is the color...but I know I never leave home with the baby without it.

you wont be toteing around any tackle bag my friend. The first 2-3 months you'll be scarred to take either of your hands off of the little one for fear of dropping her. You need a bag you can get into and find what you need with one hand. It'll need room for a big container of powdered formula, If you go that direction, and room for a big ass box of wipes. I suggest you go down to the Army/Navy supply store and get a surplus ruck sack. Good luck, your going to need it because your wife will more than likey hand you what ever she wants you to carry and you'd best look happy about it.

Sorry, I can't help you. We raised three and I NEVER changed a diper! We used cloth dipers not pampers. The diper pail smelled like, well, real bad!
Good luck and "they" say the "Good Old Days" are not forgotten.
Another one "Gone With The Wind"!

Touche'.....although we may not be giving him enough credit. He has been able to stay ahead of the curve selling real estate you know. Why should this bag selection thing be any different

Only guy I know that got the bigger boat in the midst of his little blessing being on the way

Seems like just "9 months" or so ago we were knocking the wheels loose on that bad boy to get it ready for lots of use on the water

I think Bman, stbka BabyBagman, has it covered

Bman, I'm going to Mobile today. I'll stop by BPS and let you know if they have any diaperbag-quality tackle bags on sale.
