Surf fishing Cape San Blas

Anybody have any experience doing this? What month in spring does it get good?

They are catching whiting right now and it won't be long before the pompano show up. When the weather hits the upper 60's and above would be good anytime through the spring and summer.

I know I catch them May - August at Mexico Beach
From looking back at old posts I think April is when they start to show.

Thx Barry. I plan on a one night tent camp the first trip around mid March, just to check things out.

WE always went Whiting fishing the Saturday before Mothers day! Mom, Grandmom and the aunts all ate them the next day for Mothers day lunch. Watch out for the biting flies too, peanut butter does not work on them, niether does Bounce or Skin so soft. LOL!
