Panacea White trout to the rescue...

Had inlaws here for a wedding this weekend.
Uncle Pat really wanted to go fishing.

We got permission to go yesterday afternoon about 3:30
I was expecting it to be mediocre fishing with not much tide movements. Then we rounded the channel and found whitecaps and high winds :smt009

Tried to fish my regular trout spots with no love... About 6 we fished a deep whole that has held white trout all winter.
Well they were there. We loaded the box in a couple of hours with Whiting and White Trout.
Not what we went for but still fun.

Came back to the marina and had Poseys Dockside fry up some fresh fillets for dinner!

Not a bad day at all. Glad you were able to get out.

is this the same silver trout hole that everyone and their brother piles in during the late fall/winter?
if so i definitely didn't think they stayed in there this long.

I don't know if its the same one or not... I don't usually see other people.
But it is a spot they are in during the winter.
I would not have thought they were still there either.

Must not be the same hole then. Cause the one I'm talkin about, is PACKED when the silver trout get in there. If you run out the channel from Rock Landing, turn right around the 2nd to last channel marker. It's about 500 yards off the north end of Mashes Sans. Most people know of it.
