Had a nice run in with a rock pile on my last trip out with BB TOO!. Called Waivel and told him I had a bent prop, busted skeg, and my prop was still blowing out. He said bring it on down last Friday. I told him I had to have it back so I could take JT's money by this Saturday. He assured me he could take care of it with time to spare. With all the rain we got I was really afraid i was gonna be without. Needless to say I called him today at 430 and he said the boats waiting on you hoss!! Got there, prop fixed, skep replaced, and a friggin awesome rock guard in place. Also, he removed the motor, jackplate, and powerpole mounts and lowered my motor one inch to significantly reduce my blow out problem. He also noticed a manufacture flaw I had not noticed and fixed it for me. All the above was only100.00 labor, total parts only 180.00, awesome service a guy like me demands without having to ask for it,PRICELESS!!!!! It may be an hour and ten minute drive to his shop and i may pass ten shops on the way there, but he has my business as long as he wants it. Ive had some less than pleasurable experiences in the past with folks at other shops but this is my third trip to Mr. Waivels and I assure you wont be my last. Every trip there was worth every minute of the drive and even worth the dang Tallahassee traffic!!! If you havent tried him, please do. You wont be disappointed!!! He's got BB's recommendation, and not many get that!!!

Good to meet you this afternoon BB. Sure like to know who's money I'm spending after I take it. Didn't want to hold you up any longer but how does that jack plate work for you, do you adjust it often during your trips. Have thought about getting one for mine just don't know what I would gain from it.

I thought I needed a solenoid for my motor. I took it to Porters. They figured out that I should've used pliars when tightening the thick connections of my battery. Embarrassing, yes, but they promised not to tell anyone my name and how weak I was in turning the wing nut -- PRICELESS!
I love Porters Marine.

Agreed. Last year I had to have my carbs rebuilt twice within 3 months. While leaving after the 2nd trip, Mr. Porter approached me and said, "didn't you just have these done?" I told him yes and he asked me what I was charged. I told him and he reached into his pocket and handed me $80 cash back. He told me the rest was fair for a second rebuild within such a short period of time. You don't find that kind of service just anywhere

Yammy 115 was 180.00. Hit three rocks yesterday. Paid for itself first trip!

Kool. Well not hitting rocks but sounds like a good price range. I have seen his work and it may be time for me to invest in a rock guard. Been lucky so far.
