Just returned from 4 day trip. Right now, you can catch all the spanish you want off just about any beach. They were mostly in the 12-18' range. We trolled Christmas tree rigs with three ounce in-line sinkers. Also trolled for kings, but no luck. I heard that two were caught on the buoy line yesterday. We also ran to Panama City (about 30 mile boat ride) this morning as we heard they were catching, but found no luck. Saw several other boats trolling, but didn't see the first fish caught. By the end of the month, I recommend trolling a duster with a cigar minnow along the buoy line and also around the car body reefs (public numbers) to catch kings - great fun. We store a boat at Port St. Joe marina and spend a good bit of time there. Our boat is a center console and we mostly fish offshore and near shore, so somebody else will need to offer inshore info. Shoot me pm if you have specific questions. Good luck!
