Kentucky Thunder Chicken Down!!

Well, opening morning weather was anything but great...... After that storm system moved through last night we still had winds 25-30 and light rain this a.m. and temps in the low 50's. No gobbling on the roost and I heard a few about an hour after fly down. Started seeing birds up in the morning, but all hens. I was working a couple of Tom's that were hen'd up to the other side of the blind and this guy gobbled one time behind me.... I start watching my setup and nothing... I check one of the shoot holes in the Double Bull and he's standing about 15 ft from the blind just staring at the deks.... I let him walk off and introduce him to some #6's with his name on them!! Took me till 2:45 but worth it!!
