I've been tryin to fish Wakulla Beach, but I keep getting skunked. I went to the end of the oyster bar and freelined a mullet today at the beginning of the outgoing tide with no luck. Any tips? Any other places?

I used to wade fish Wakulla beach with my college buddies all the time. We would sometimes go where you are talking about, but we always did better when we went East towards the oyster bars at the mouth of a little creek (I don't know if it has a name). I'll attach a little map. Believe it or not, we would wade all the way from the beach to the oyster bars (which can be scary at high tide). After a year or two of that, we got a canoe, which made the trips much quicker, dryer and less treacherous. I'd reccomend getting a kayak so you can cover more ground. You might also try cutting that mullet up into cutbait or buying some shrimp from Jerry's on the way to the beach. A bag of Gulp will probably last longer. Good Luck, don't give up!

If you want to try out of a boat, post with a couple days notice probably one of us will have room on our boat for you. If I can get away from work, I always like going on weekdays (fewer people spooking fish in my fav spots).

There's usually several WB fishing reports a week on
http://www.fcka.net. Register and read the reports. Almost every member of the plastic navy started out fishing there.

Here's the most important tip. This guy in the tan shirt fishes there several times a week.
Sneak around and follow him and do whatever he does.
