Insulted - Secret Weapon

Yesterday we fished out of Keaton north to Rock Island. Couldn't buy a fish! We did catch some shorts and four nice keepers but a hard day. High and low tide difference was small with slow moving wind blown water.
We came out early but stopped at a new store bait store in Perry.
A young man ask me if we caught any fish. He had seen us at Rock Island. I told my sad story and he told his. He and his friend caught lots of fish! He was fishing a Sebile white shad plug and the fish ate it like candy. That was about all I got for he was introduced to a fishing guide in the store and I lost my conversation with him.
Anyone know anything about a Sebile white shad plug other than it cost $14.50 each?

Other than they work, nope.
Call Capt. Ashley Mock of Warrior Inshore Charters and set up a trip. You'll learn more in a few hours than you can in a few years. He's also a BBF sponsor and the NFGFC Tournament Director, so he knows a few things.

The same goes for the Sebile gold stick shad. It's redfish "crack!"

On the other side of the red light from the Shell station on the right leaving Perry.

Yes, at the Foley cut off. May not be new but fairly new? Nice folks! Seems they made or sold boats in that building before?
Reel Cowboy, you are right about hiring a guide. I enjoy doing everything the hard way but I'm handy capped. Seems sometimes all the lights don't burn up stairs. Seems also you would need to hire a guide for each season.

If you're really interested in shortening the learning curve in that area, give Warrior a call. As far as one for each season, once you can develop a pattern and get an idea of why fish go where they go, you'll be set.

mpa_72001 we need to be careful. I'm not so sure that was the right plug? Don't want everyone running out an buying a $15.00 plug. Actually, they would need a floater and a suspension to cover all the bases. Now we're up to $30.00 not to mention the different sizes. I have enough of that kind of stuff in my box already.
If anyone wants a cheaper lure, try a pack of Saltwater Assassin Pumpkin Seed/Fire Tail Shad. They were eating them up over at St. Marks two weeks ago.
Good fishing everyone!
