This guy met his end last night in my front yard. He did not respond to the broom or ice cold water in the squirt gun. He seemed unconcerned and came back for more "face time" amongst the potted plants on my front stoop. About 4' long. Acute head and neck trauma ensued.

IM NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF SNAKE THIS IS - PLEASE ADVISE. Thanks!

Looks like a typical Boa or Python. Probably from a pet store by way of an irresponsible owner.

All of 'em around my house have heads that look like that.

I agree, looks like a good one now! Now that you killed it, walk around knocking on doors and see if anybody is missing their favorite pet.

I would check out this site CAREFULLY before stating a Boa or Python.

Without seeing the head , which is the very important business end of a snake, I would suggest looking at a Florida Cotton mouth.

Looks like a ball python........need to get a better look at the head.......but could be a light colored cottonmouth!

Looks like a cottonmouth to me, can't be sure without seeing his face. I don't know much about pythons or boas.

I worked in pet stores for many years and have dealt with many snakes. I will admit I may be wrong, and judging by that darker tail it may very well be an aging cottonmouth. Regardless, when in doubt - kill it.

Sorry guys I didn't get any good photos of its head/face. There was a lot of localized damage in that area

Any dead snake is a good snake..

If the head is still semi-intact and you can see the eye is the pupil round or vertical?

Did the head have a distinctive & prominent triangle shape?

I would rule out any Python or Boas based upon the size of the scales.
