Hiding US Flag from GITMO detainees

Some stories just give a warm fuzzy feeling!
In an especially well-timed release this week, Richard Miniter’s MASTERMIND: The Many Faces of the 9/11 Architect, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed reveals Mohammed’s rise to the top of Al Qaeda and his planning of the jihadist attacks on America in 2001.
More than that, though, Miniter’s book includes shocking new disclosures about how the US treats its detainees. Miniter tells Big Peace:
I was stunned to learn while researching Mastermind that Guantanamo detainees succeeded in convincing prison officials to no longer raise the American flag anywhere they could see it. Each morning on every U.S. military base around the world, the American flag is raised to a bugle. But in the interests of not offending the detainees, it was stopped at Guantanamo.

I know it's a matter of principle and pride to have the flag raised, I'm in total agreement, but if they got the information out of those prisoners that lead to the killing of osama, was it not worth it ? Who was playing mind games on who ? We did get what we wanted, I think ?

What an enlightened point of view!

Sorry, libs, if one is willing to honestly follow the chain of interrogation events (and I can provide quotes from multiple DC insiders), the killing of Osama trails back specifically to the waterboarding of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (though for clarification purposes CIA operatives did the waterboarding outside of Guantanamo). Anyone beg to debate, I'll gladly take you on and walk you down the chain of events for educational purposes.
By the way, I'm super happy that Osama is gone and think this may be the very first issue our President's handled well in 3 years... that said, if consistent liberals should be up in arms. Obama broke multiple liberal tenants in taking out Osama including:
1) Acting on information gathered by waterboarding
2) Ordered an assassination of an unarmed man with no respect to due process that he and his Attorney General preach about constantly
3) Not only ignored due process rights of Osama, but also many others present including women and children.
3) Totally ignored the sovereign rights of another nation, and a Muslim one at that (and not saying he's necessarily muslim, but had talked endlessly about supporting them and has ponied up billion after billion for them including Pakistan specifically.
4) Approved numerous secret actions (attack, autopsy, burial at sea, etc...)
And not that I have issues with the above (again, I said I think he got this one pretty much right) but as usual, most libs don't seem capable of consistent thought processes / morals. Well, guess this one time that it means we can all celebrate together even if so many of the libs are showing what hypocrites they are.

Yeah, what BBG said!
Semper Fi my Brother.
I also find it surprising the number times that Seal Team 6 has been credited with the Bin Laden action. Especially since there is no Seal Team 6. The Seals do have an elite anti terrorist team that's name is confidential, but it is not ST6 or DEVGRU
Glad that our brothers in arm were so efficient in their duties and the only thing we lost was a helicopter.
