Long weekend on the water---
Thursday with the wind blowing so hard, we shot mullet and 2 of us managed 26. Some decent fish in the mix.

Friday, more wind. Tried to head off shore on the Woods N Water fishing team 28 Triton, but we got beat to death and came back in a after a few hours. Trouth fished in the afternoon and boated 5 - 19-23 on gulp shrimps, fished on corks and on bottom. 3-4 feet.

Saturday- the Optimist club tourney had a very weak tournament based on the boats we saw at Keaton. Never heard final boat count. Took the family and kids for swimming, riding and little fishing. Shot mullet again late afternoon, and we managed 14 in a hour or so.

Even thought it was rough as a cobb all weekend, and cool, and weather was way off on wind forecasts - still a great time. Cant beat pulling up to the house and anchoring off.(Rental even had a pool table)

There was hardly anywhere to park at Ecofina. We weren't in the tournament but it was a tough day. Not too rough though. What was the water temp at keaton? 69 at Ecofina. At least you got some fish.

The wife and I fished Keaton from Friday through Sunday and caught fish. The wind was blowing pretty goodat times. Water temps were from 70-76 throughout the days. Friday we had 8 keeper trout from 17"-24" and 2 legal reds and a rat red or 2. Saturday, 7:15 AM, first cast 21" trout. I thought we would get on em and win some money, but the biggest for the day was 23", but we caught a limit of trout and one red, one 18" black drum, and one spanish. Sunday we caught 5 keepers and a 16" baby cobia. Caught it around some oyster bars where I was fishing for reds. Overall it was a great weekend in Keaton, already ready to go back!
