St. Marks 5/7/2011 Trout city!

Hit the water on the ole sea fox by sunrise 7am at the lighthouse ramp. This was my first launch on the new ramp, no complaints from me
So we headed west to our normal go to area and started off pretty slow.. a 15" here 17" there. Things changed with a new drift around 8:45-9 when things lit up! We started getting hit on 3 different rods, a cajun, a jig, and a hard bait. The cooler was full enough by 12, by full enough I mean all I was willing to clean. Smallest in the cooler by days end was 17 1/2" largest going almost 21". Couple of sharks and some nice blues met the sea fox that day as well. The Law decided to come by and "pull us over" mid drift around 1pm. The officer managed to be boat side after about 5 attempts finally pulled in via net. This little event amused my buddies but the officer was very nice and professional. Once everything checked out, we went back to tight lines. The day ended on the east flats when we decided we had had enough. The weather was perfect and our total count for the day was 28 trout, 3 sharks, 2 blues, and a little trash in between. Great day on the water! Look forward to doing it all over again tomorrow!
