I’ve been reading some of the reports and was curious where this Lighthouse boat ramp is? I mostly fish econfina so not too familiar with other areas. Any kind of directions i would appreciate, other question is for like a top water boat what the best color is or is it just a tossup between many of them? just trying to get ready for this weekend and shooting for a more successful trip!

watch out for the oyster bars and try a mixed bag

of lures. find what works and stick with it.


chartreuse and bone/white seem to be the go-to colours lately.


If you go east, keep an eye out for moving rocks

is that the color for a BA or like a mirrolure? appreciate the help

they're common colors, standard across the board, whether it be for soft plastics or lures.

If all else fails, have a package of New Penny and White gulp shrimpies on board (3") and toss'm under a cajun thunder; you'll be sure to grab a trout or two, maybe a lil' shark, and of course, stupid catfish.


Look for patchy bottom just as you would elsewhere; fish the moving water and run a few drifts until you find an area that works.
