5-20 Quick Trip

Made it out after work on Thursday. We had trouble cast netting bait in the light house channel. We did manage one good bait size mullet and a few dozen big ky's or as others call them ly's... Made the twenty or so minute ride to our favorite spot. We had one thing on our minds, Cobia! As soon as we dropped a line in the water it was on. First fish was undersize but as he swam around the boat a big one was in hot pursuit. So I grabbed the only mullet in the live well and toss em about ten feet off the side of the boat. Less then two minutes go by and the fight is on. About ten minutes later this bad boy comes up. Nothing huge but a solid keeper. We messed around with a few more small ones for another hour or so and called it a night.
