Launched at 6:45am to a wall of fog. Found the fish in 6 feet of water. Could catch trout if we got past the Ladyfish, which were eating anything and everything we threw. Trout wanted new penny Gulp, 3". It's funny, people pay big bucks to go somewhere exotic to catch juvenile tarpon. Here in our backyard, Ladyfish give the same thrill and we cuss 'em. Wish I had my fly rod and daughter on this trip, she would have really enjoyed it. Ended up with several fat Trout for the grill, Sharks, Rock Bass, short Cobia, Catfish, and more Ladyfish than you could count. No Spanish this trip, which is what I really wanted. Isn't it a little early for sharks on the flats. Seems like in year's past water was warmer when the sharks showed up. Off the water for a late lunch at Savannah's. Nice day on the water with a good friend.
