Started the morning off signing in at Cquarters and meeting at the mouth of the river before blast off. It was cool everyone leaving at the same time out the mouth of the river. Reached our spot 14 miles west of the mouth of the river and the topwater bite was on fire. We had blow ups almost every cast for 30 minutes, but the problem was lower slot fish and trash fish. So we ran back east and fished a little secret spot and the bite was decent until dead low tide and we went to slaying them, this time the fish were a little bigger. The fish would not hit anything except soft jerk baits. We ended up with ten really nice keepers and 5 really good slot fish. We weighed in at 3:30 with enough weight to take second. I really had a blast and enjoyed fishing with Trevor which is a green horn, but he did great! Looking forward to next time! Thanks to all who helped out with the tournament, it went great!
