I have a buddy who bought 2 tags for Wakulla County. He bought the tag and I agreed to take him. My thought is to work the Ochlockonee River. What other area of public water should I look at.
Also, if you have a gator you want to get rid of, 10'+, let me know.

They is several 10+ gators within a few miles of the "O" state park! They tend to like the Dead river, inbetween the park and the Sopchoppy river! But, the refuge owns the land on either side of the river

Yeah, I have to figure out whats legal and what's not.
The guy I'm taking is a retired Colonel from the US Army. I don't want to have him mad at me.
Ask around and let me know what the locals say Waldon. edit: The locals without a criminal record.

What do you do with them ?
Can you eat bits of them, or do anything with the skin ?
I have eaten "alligator tail", not being sure what it was , but it tasted OK and we have all heard of alligator shoes, handbags, etc.
Is there any worth in a dead alligator ?

To me there is, there are several types of meat on a alligator. dark/white meat like a turtle , rib meat , tail meat . leg meat , cheek meat , make a nice wallet or several key chains out of the leather. You can mount the head..

FYI, this rule was approved by the Commission at yesterday's meeting.
68A-25.042 Regulations Governing State-wide Alligator Trapping, Permitting, Taking and Sale.- Daylight Alligator Hunting Hours Extension - The proposed final rule will expand the legal hours for taking an alligator under the Statewide Alligator Harvest Program by 4 hours, and set the legal hours from 5pm to 10am daily during the established season. Under this approach, alligator hunters will have more daylight hunting to accommodate more flexible scheduling and use airboats during unrestricted times, while overlap and potential conflict with other water recreationists, who typically use lakes and rivers during mid-morning through late afternoon, will be minimized.
