Fishng Regulation Insanity

Post by prebleg »

The whole fisheries regulatory system is completely disfunctional and incompetent. How can we go from 5 grouper per day all year long 5 red snapper per day all year long to one or two fish per day for just 6 weeks out of the year in just a matter of a couple of years. Either they didn't know what they were doing then, or they don't know what they are doing now. Not only that but the constant changing of limits and seasons is out of control and confusing beyond belief.

What is the matter with these bureaucrats?

I don't know who is on these fishery boards but they need to step down and go back to farming or whaterver because they are not fit to manage/lead in this capacity.

Its time to clean house and start over.

WE are "them" and "they". WE are jurisprudence. If you don't like the cards we are being dealt, then do more to make a difference. The environmentalists, commercial fishermen, and other special interests have just made their votes and voices count more than yours.
