Have any of you tried the penny auctions sites (Quibids, etc)? Thinking about jumping in, but wanted to know if anyone had any tips on improving the success rate? I remember seeing a thread on FS about it, but think it was lost in the crash.

I looked at beezid.com, but I just can't make myself spend money on bids, and there still be a chance I don't win anything. At least on ebay, if you don't win, you haven't spent any money yet. It's too much like gambling. I can easily see how someone with too much time on their hands and a Paypal account could drain their checking account before they knew it.

IMO waste of time. you stare at a computer for hours to get 20% off of an item you dont need and you could have bought somewhere else in 15 seconds. you want buy an ipad for $1.69 like the ad says.
