Headed to KB to do some scalloping/fishing with the kids. Sat: Scallops appeared to be scattered and on the smaller side (had to pass by a lot to get to our limit). Found about 6 gallons scallops in about 4-8 feet of water. We also managed a couple keeper trout and some keeper BSB. Sunday: Decided to get a head start on the crowds - started about 10:00 a.m. Boats were already anchored, but not as bad as Saturday. Found them right away in about 4-5 feet of water. Seemed stacked up and bigger. Didn't pass many by - but they still weren't as big as we were getting last year. Three stops and we were limited out. Managed two more keeper trout later in the day. My son caught a 24+ in about 3 feet of water at about 2:00 in the afternoon. We (us and about 1,000 other boats/people) were just South of Big Grassy both days.

Pic of nice trout.

Had a great weekend with the kids - who by the way cleaned all of the scallops. :D

:-D Nice trout. Glad to hear that you found scallops in shallower water. All other reports I have heard they have been deep. We usually go to Keaton but have been going to St Marks because they are shallow there. Did you look north and find any there? :-D

Did not look North for scallops, but there were a couple boats scattered around. We did catch the nice trout North, though.
