Scallop report Cristal River area

Any reports on this area yet hope to go this weekend we are first timers but I do have My own boat !!!! Hope Im not to late !!!

They have been good and real big but go a little deeper between 8ft and 12ft. Get a chart or go online to
http://marine.geogarage.com/routes you will be able to see some of the hazards in the area. Head about half way to Homosassa and have a look. They have been pretty thick in the sandy coral patches but you can get plenty in the shallower water. Have fun and watch out for the gomez rocks it is due south of the last marker.

Well we made our first scallop trip to Cristal River !!! We had a great trip . Water was a little choppy due to storms in the gulf !!! But we had to go but we went out and it was not bad when we got out but we ended up off Homassassa and we found plenty of Scallops and had a great time. Water was clear but we had to hunt for our gold . But we did find plenty of tasty scallops . I will be back next year earlier maybe july 1st I hope !!!!!
