When are the Pompano around St. George ? for the Fall run ?

I'm not sure about water temps, but I look for that cooling trend that begins in the middle of September. Expect to start seeing them from about the last week of September well into October.
It is definitely worth some persistence. I fish early in the morning before sunrise and well into korning, mid day, then in the evening.
A good pompano is one of the finest fish to catch, and the best for eating.

I caught a nice pomp over that way in October last year. Try bouncing a candy corn colored grub over sand

A friend caught 8 pomps Saturday in Mexico Beach on sand fleas.
