We had a great day on the reef. The trout fishing was slow but the blues made up for it. It was the first time the wife had experienced the fast action of schooling blues. She loved it! oh yea the boys (who are 'old hands at it) loved it too! Hope to head off shore Thursday for some bottom fishing. Is 35' - 45' deep enough for this time of year?

That depth off the south/southeast end of Dog Island is good.

As jt said...thats the direction, your best bet would be to wait till saturday when gags open up. Good luck!

It will probably be too windy on Saturday for 35" to 45" but you can always try.

On Sunday we stumbled onto numerous pools of Blues hitting glass minnows out from Ocklocknee Bay.

Schooling activity definitely picking up offshore of Econ too... took a quick trip out this past week and blues and macks were all over big schools of bait. Even found bonita in the mix which is a bit less common out of Econ than over Carrabelle way. Man, those suckers are fun on light tackle. :D
